Due to the planned closure of Holiday Inn Maidenhead on 1st April 2022, we are currently exploring our options for our August event. You can read more in our update.

What is HandyCon?

HandyCon is an biannual board gaming convention held every January and August in Maidenhead, UK with an emphasis on playing lots of board games, meeting fellow gamers and having a lot of board game related fun. We have various tournaments, events, demos, a games library and plenty more going on.

What's On

Open Gaming

What HandyCon is all about! Bring along your shiny new hotness or dig out your old favourites and prepare to game the weekend away with your fellow board gamers. Play party games, heavy strategy games, 18xx or anything in between. You can schedule and find games before and during the event using our (entirely optional) Game Finder system:

In addition to bringing along your own games we also provide a selection of games in ever growing our library.


The games library is open to all HandyCon attendees free of charge for the duration of the convention.

Exhibitors

Playtesting

Play yet to be released games and give your feedback to designers! For more information about the games available for playtesting, or if you are a designer and have a game you would like to playtest at HandyCon, please see the relevant pages for HandyCon January and HandyCon August.

Fallen out of love with an old favourite? Never taken that Kickstarter out of shrink? Bring along your unwanted games to the Bring and Buy! Get paid real cash monies and free up some shelf space for all the bargains to be had.
