🦎 Salamandra UK Pre-Order!




We are very excited to share some big news with the community.


Back in January, we had the chance to play Salamandra with Flavien,  and loved it so much that I wanted to be part of bringing it to more players.



This is the very first title in what we hope will become a growing catalogue of games published under the HandyCon Gaming name, and we could not be more excited about what this means for the future.


That is why we are delighted to announce that HandyCon Gaming has signed a co-publishing deal with Hachette to bring Salamandra to the UK as its exclusive UK licence holder.




What is Salamandra?


In Salamandra, scholars race to take part in Litha’s festival, working to honour the goddess Salamandra and prove themselves worthy of becoming the Great Druid.

Players send their apprentices out to collect magical and temporary resources, restore life to sacred vegetation, gain the blessings of the Bear and Eagle divinities, and earn Veneration Points throughout the game.





Salamandra is played over 4 rounds, alternating between day and night. Each round, you have a limited number of apprentices to place and activate, making every decision important.

This is a strong worker placement game where strategy matters. Your apprentices can help you:

  • build new tiles to gain blessings from the Bear and Eagle divinities

  • activate Cauldron tiles to generate Veneration Points and scrolls

  • pray to the Salamandra goddesses for powerful bonuses

  • pass and study Groves





Everything in Salamandra offers rewards, but careful planning and good timing will decide who becomes the Great Druid.

It is a beautiful game with strong strategy, lovely table presence, and a theme we really connected with.

Collection Dates:



Collection is available each day between 10 AM and 6 PM.

Please allow the first hour of the convention, 9 AM–10 AM, for the check-in rush.

> You do not need a HandyCon convention ticket if you are only stopping by to collect your game.


At the moment, there are no plans to ship Salamandra.
