Day Zero at Handycon is a special time that we have been able to include as a pre-con for all attendees to settle in, catch up, and get ready for the main event on Friday. It’s a chance to enjoy some gaming before the convention officially begins and, because we noticed lots of people were turning up on Thursday lunchtime anyway, we have been able to get access to just the main room early. No Frills, No Library, No Bring & Buy, just you and the games you choose to play. We've sold 110 tickets, so to make sure everyone has a great experience, we need to be mindful of how we use the space.

There’s room for everyone who has chosen to come early, but only if we use the space sensibly. With twenty-two 4-person tables, seven 5-person tables and the playtesting zone tables, 110 should be easily accommodated, but only if we don't all sit playing Solo games on each table.
The idea of the day is to focus on games that bring more people together. Playing two-player games during this time can take up valuable space that could be used by larger groups. When tables fill up with four or more players, more people get to participate, and everyone gets to game, meet people before the con, and Paul even gets to play some games too.
How You Can Help
Choose games that support four or more players when possible.
Be flexible and open to joining larger groups, or inviting people to join a game at 4 players, even if you happen to think it's better at 3.
Keep an eye on the space and be ready to share tables.
By working together, we can make Day Zero a smooth and enjoyable start to Handycon.
